User controlled transmit power control during handover in a CDMA system

[Solution means] The method and equipment for controlling the base station of a radio communications system and the transmission power of the mobile user equipment under wireless communications are offered. The transmission power of user equipment is controlled by a communications system. Just before transmission of the event message by user equipment, in order for a message to make a possibility of being appropriately received by the base station increase, transmission power is increased by user equipment. It is increased by transmission power by opening the closed-loop power control circuit which usually controls the transmission power of user equipment on a target. By opening a closed-loop circuit, user equipment succeeds the control for the increase in transmission power. User equipment may control a base station following transmission of a message to transmit with the increased electric power by making the desired value of the signal-to-interference ratio for controlling the power level of a base station increase. Thereby, a possibility of receiving a confirmation message and an event message from a base station is increased. [Selection figure] Fig. 3
