Reliability detection of channel quality indicator (CQI) and application to outer loop power control

[Subject] The reliability of a message of a channel descriptive label (CQI) in a wireless-communications network is improved. [Means for Solution] A method of improving the reliability of a message of a channel descriptive label (CQI) (102 of Drawing 3, 106) in a wireless-communications network is started from reception of a message of CQI. Subsequently, a CQI message is decoded and a determination metric value about each symbol in a CQI message is calculated. Greatest determination metric value and the 2nd largest determination metric value about a CQI message are calculated. The reliability of a message of CQI can be determined by comparing the two greatest determination metric values. This method is applicable to time sharing double Trust, frequency division double Trust, or Paquette access of a high-speed down-link in Mohd of other transmissions. [Chosen drawing] Drawing 3
