Uterine artery occlusion device with cervical receptacle

An intravaginal device (10) of uterine artery occlusion, comprising: an elongate shaft (11) having a distal end, an inner lumen (22) configured to be interconnected with a vacuum source and extending to the distal end ; and a cervical receptacle (12) is secured to the distal end of the elongated shaft (11) having an interior (13) configured to receive at least part of the cervix of a female patient and having at least one surface (14, 15 ) of applying pressure to facilitate the occlusion of the uterine artery patient; and characterized in that the device (10) further comprises an occlusion sensor (18, 19) of blood flow to detect the uterine artery to be occluded to; and that the surface (14, 15) of pressure application is distally extendable to apply pressure on the vaginal fornix when the cervical receptacle patient (12) is arranged around the cervix of the patient.
