Blood pressure manometer

The present invention relates to a blood pressure meter having a device housing in which are housed device components such as a pressure gauge, a display unit and the like, a cuff connected to the body, a cuff, into which a cuff portion for width adjustment of the cuff is retractable, and a cuff tensioner that pulls the cuff portion into the cuff memory at a predetermined tensile force. According to the invention, the sleeve tensioner has a pretensioned spring drive and a detachable pull-out lock, which prevents unintentional removal of the sleeve against the spring drive. The spring drive causes an automatic tightening of the cuff with a predetermined force, which ensures reproducible measurement results. According to a further advantageous aspect of the present invention, the sleeve memory and the sleeve tensioner are integrated in the device housing or can be brought into locking engagement with the device housing. Preferably, the sleeve memory can receive an end of the sleeve and be formed as a closure member which is releasably lockable with the device housing.
