Opsonic and protective monoclonal and chimeric antibodies specific for lipoteichoic acid of gram positive bacteria

Abstract

(57) Summary book invention includes the monoclonal and the chimeric antibody which are combined with the リポテイコ acid of gram-positive bacteria. It combines with the whole bacteria, and this antibody increases a food action and extinction of the bacteria in in vitro, and increases defense from the death-dealing infection by in vivo. Hominization of the monoclonal antibody of a mouse is carried out, and it offers the means which was not known until now for the chimeric antibody obtained to diagnose, prevent and/or treat the infection caused with the gram-positive bacteria which have リポテイコ acid. The present invention also includes the peptide which copied again the リポテイコ acid epitope binding site appointed by the monoclonal antibody. This epitope or epitope peptide mimic identifies other antibodies which can be combined with a リポテイコ acid epitope. Furthermore, an epitope or epitope peptide mimic offers the precious base substance for production of a vaccine or other curative medicines.
