A system and method for monitoring hygiene standards compliance

A monitoring system hygiene to monitor compliance with hygiene standards by personnel in a facility, the system comprising a surveillance network having a monitoring unit and a plurality of mobile network units, each of the mobile units network having a transmitter for transmitting a signal unique iD for an individual associated with that mobile network unit to the monitoring unit, the monitoring network also comprising a plurality of fixed units dispersed network throughout the facility, each of fixed network units having a transceiver to receive identification signals from the mobile network units and transmit the identification signals to the monitoring unit, mobile network units and the fixed network units form part of a ZigBee network area Wireless Personal (WPAN), the monitoring unit further comprising a processor, an accessible memory and a receiver for receiving the identification signals from the mobile network drives, the monitoring unit storing the identification signals in accessible memory and processor having means to analyze the identification signals in accessible memory and generate a profile of compliance hygiene for the person associated with that mobile network unit.
