Non-blocking address switch with shallow per agent queues

A system (10) comprising: a plurality of agents (12A-12D); an interconnect (16); and a switch (14) coupled to the plurality of agents and the interconnect, wherein e switch comprises a plurality of storage locations (30A-30B), and wherein the plurality of storage locations are configured to store a plurality of requests transmitted by the plurality of agents to the switch, and wherein the switch is configured to arbitrate among the plurality of requests stored in the plurality of storage locations, and wherein the switch is configured to transmit the interconnect demand selected, in which the selected application is a winner of the arbitration; characterized in that: the interconnect includes one or more devices timed storage (20B-20I) coupled between the switch and each of the plurality of agents that receives requests on the interconnect, and wherein a series of one or more devices timed storage is based on a flight time of the request to the far switch receiving agent, and wherein an equal number of storage devices timer is included between the switch and each of the plurality of agents, even though at least one of the plurality of agents has a shorter switch for applications flight.
