A method of determining the address of a location signal encoded a mobile communication device (120) relative to a direction finder (106), the method including receiving the signal encoded location of the device by a wireless link to the finder (106 ); and using a code to decode the signal encoded location and generate a decoded output; the method comprising detecting localization signal encoded with a set of N antennas, characterized by decoding a separate output of each antenna to generate N decoded outputs, and measuring the direction of arrival of the locator signal coded by analyzing the N decoded outputs.
