Abstract

The method for reducing and preventing corrosion and corrosion progress of reinforcing bars in reinforced concrete structures comprising coating the surface of the reinforced concrete structure with a water repellent and Inhibierungsgel. This consists of hydrophobic silanes or siloxanes, which are combined together with aqueous solutions of corrosion inhibitors to a gel-like, pasty mixture.
