Security device with perimeter alarm

Safety device (1) adapted to be secured to an object, said device comprising: - a housing (3); - A loop of cable extending from the housing for attachment to the object; - An alarm system contained in the housing, said alarm system an audible alarm (45) comprising a speaker (56) comprising; and - a driver (55) operatively connected to the alarm system and extending in a continuous loop configuration within the housing and about a portion of said housing and once cut activate the audible alarm, characterized by the fact wherein said conductor extends in a continuous loop configuration further about the speaker to protect against tampering of the speaker.
