Abstract

A method of deactivating a pathogenic chemical agent characterized by: subjecting the pathogenic chemical agent to a gaseous mixture of a peroxide as vapor and nitrogen-containing compound in gaseous form, the ratio of peroxide relative to compound containing nitrogen between 1: 1 and 1: 0.0001, with the general formula of the nitrogen-containing compound: ** (Omitted) ** wherein R1, R2 and R3 are selected independently from H and an alkyl group .
