Sensor and guide wire assembly

A sensor and guide wire assembly being adapted for intravascular measurements in a living body and comprising a sensor (23) and a wire (22) core, wherein the sensor is physically divided into a part (24, 31) sensitive pressure, comprising a first chip (26, 33) and an electronic part (25, 32) comprising a second chip (28, 38); being disposed said first chip (26) on the wire (22) core, at the distal end of the guidewire and provided with at least one pressure sensitive device (27) and at least one piezoelectric element or piezoresistive piezocapacitivo; containing said second chip (28) only elements that are insensitive to the pressure and being provided with at least one electrical circuit; and that the part (24) and pressure sensitive electronic part (25) are spatially separated from each other and are electrically connected together with at least one electrical conductor.
