Data communication apparatus with multiple antennas

An apparatus operable to communicate data between a first and a second terminal unit, wherein at least one of said first and said second terminal unit is a unit (120) of mobile terminal, the apparatus comprising: a station (100 ) base; and a plurality of units (110) antenna having different areas of coverage (130), where each unit (110) antenna is connected to said station (100) base and operable to transmit, wirelessly, signals modulated data received from said station (100) base and to forward signals modulated data, received wirelessly, to said station (100) based on said station (100) base comprises: a transmitter for transmitting modulated data signals each of said plurality of units (110) for a wireless transmission antenna; a receiver for receiving modulated data signals forwarded by at least one of said plurality of units (110) antenna; a modulator for generating modulated data signals over a data channel given according to a predetermined modulation scheme whereby successive blocks of modulated data in said data channel are separated in time in said data channel by at least one period minimum time determined for a given apparatus so that at least said minimum time period elapses between the arrival, at said unit (120) of mobile terminal, of said successive blocks of modulated data and wherein, for that provision arrangement given apparatus, said period of predetermined minimum time is set to correspond substantially to the maximum expected difference in the time interval required for communication of a block given from said station data (100) base and said unit (120) terminal by different mobile units of said plurality of antenna units (110) antenna; and a demodulator for demodulating data signals received by said receiver that have been modulated according to said predetermined modulation scheme.
