Method of identifying an unknown or unmarked slave device such as in an electronic blasting system

A method to detect slave devices not identified in a system including a master and a plurality of slave devices device comprising the steps of: a) providing each slave device in the system identification and loading one or more identifications of device slave to the master device; b) after step a), connecting at least one slave device to your system; c) after step b), issue an order of detection in the system from the master device; d) issuing a clock sequence on the system after issuing said command, said clock sequence clock pulses correlated with sequential possible identifications of slave devices such that each sequential clock pulse corresponds to a different multiplicity of possible identifications comprising; e) after step c), issuing a response only from any slave device in the system that has not been identified to the master device, including each of said responses identification slave device.
