Diagnostic procedure for detection of people who have a heterozygous expression or genetically conditioned homozygous MR I variant protease that activates factor VII (FSAP), in which the activity of FSAP is determined, wherein the activity is determined the FSAP is contained in a sample, in the absence and in the presence of a differential activity modulator, in which the differential activity modulator changes the activity of FSAP in samples of people who have a heterozygous expression or genetically homozygous conditioned MR I variant of FSAP in an amplitude that is different from the amplitude samples of people who do not express the MRI FSAP variant.
