Multiple description coding using correlating transforms
Abstract
A transmission machine and a receiver in a multiplex description coding system generate and process multiplex description of an ingredient of an input signal. When some Cori Leh Tyng conversion factors are lost in the middle of transmission or deteriorate, the Cori Leh Tyng conversion factor which can restore a duplicate which is not exact as for the original signal is contained in this multiplex description. Operation using a high-speed Hadamard transform which decreases a calculation resource required to perform this conversion is indicated.
