Ceramic composite wall covering

Composite body for covering walls, which has a support material (1) and at least one ceramic coating (2) containing a ceramic selected from oxides, nitrides, borides or carbides of metals or semimetals particles, embedded in a matrix, which consists of a network containing silicon, which is connected by bridges of Si-O-Si, and being present one or more interlayers (3) between the support material (1) and layer ceramic (2), the intermediate ceramic layer (3) contains particles of an inorganic component, joined together by at least one inorganic adhesive and this layer below the interlayer ceramic (3), containing in essential at least one compound based on at least one metal, at least one semimetal or at least one mixed metal with at least one element of main groups 3 through 7 of the periodic table.
