An irrigation/aspiration system

Irrigation / aspiration (10) having an irrigation conduit (31), a source of irrigation fluid (29) connected to the irrigation line; a suction duct (30); a collection chamber fluid (18); a vacuum pump (12) adapted to introduce a vacuum in the collection chamber (18) in order to extract fluid from the source of irrigation fluid (29) through the irrigation conduit (31), a surgical site and the suction duct (30) and into the collection chamber; a pressure sensor vacuum (16) adapted to monitor the vacuum in the collection chamber (18) of the vacuum pump (12); means for monitoring a pump operation flow (14); control means (24, 33) adapted to make the system work as a system priority vacuum or a priority system flow pump fluid flow (14), wherein the pump fluid flow is adapted to evacuate fluid collection chamber (18); and that the system comprises a sensor for irrigation flow (26) adapted to monitor the flow of irrigation fluid in the irrigation conduit (31), or a pressure sensor irrigation adapted to monitor the pressure of irrigation fluid in the irrigation conduit; one in which a mode controlled sensor fluid level (20) adapted to monitor the fluid level in the collection chamber (18), vacuum, the control means are adapted to modify the vacuum introduced into the chamber collecting (18) based on the pressure monitored vacuum (16) and in the level of monitored fluid (20) in the collection chamber in order to maintain a constant pressure level in the suction pipe, and wherein in mode controlled by flow control means are adapted to modify the vacuum introduced into the collection chamber (18) based on the flow (26) or fluid monitored irrigation or pressure, the vacuum pressure monitored (16 ), the monitored operation of the flow pump (14) and / or the monitored fluid level (20) in the collection chamber.
