An apparatus (110) for sealing a passage through tissue, comprising: an elongate shaft (12) having a proximal end (114) and a distal end (116); a hole in the proximal end of the elongate shaft; one plug member (120) disposed on the distal end (116) of the elongate shaft having a distal end (126), a hole in the distal end of the plug; a lumen (136) indicating position (136) there extending from the hole at the distal end of the cap to the hole at the proximal end of the elongate shaft; wherein the elongate shaft (112) has a cross section that is substantially smaller than a cross section of the plug member (120).
