Method and appratus for optimizing variable liquid temperatures

Apparatus for optimizing variable liquid temperatures within a beverage machine, said apparatus comprising: - a heating unit (160) for heating a liquid passing through it, - a power supply (170) to activate said heating unit , - an electronic controller (140) for variably controlling the input power supplied to said heating unit by said power supply, - feedback means for providing sensed data to said electronic controller, and wherein said input power is varied by said electronic controller in response to said sensed data in accordance with a profile representing a heating level predetermined, being selectable said profile among a group of different profiles, so that each of said different profiles refers to a beverage type, wherein said detected data includes the time of day.
