System selection for wireless data services

[Solution means] The technology of performing system selection based on an "access string", a "profile", and the use model that uses an "activation string" is indicated. An access string is specified to wireless data service, and offers a very intuitive user interface. Each access string is connected with many profiles from 1 or it. Each profile contains various kinds of parameters required in order to establish a specific data call. Each profile is further connected with the activation string who includes the connection information for the data call. System selection is performed by two parts. In the 1st part, a wireless user looks at the access string for the data service which can be used, chooses the access string for desired data service, and returns the selected access string. In the 2nd part, from all the profiles related to the selected access string, a wireless device chooses the profile to the most suitable system, in order to provide desired data service.
