The invention relates to a component for thermal insulation between two components, in particular between a building part and a projecting outer part, consisting of a to be arranged between the two components insulating body (2) with these traversing and connectable to both components reinforcing elements (4, 5, 6), wherein as reinforcing elements at least transverse force rods (6) are provided. The component is in this case adapted for installation in passive houses, that the insulating body has a recess (7) for the upper exit regions (6f) of the transverse force rods (6) from the insulator free-lying projection (3) extending in the direction of the supporting member until extends in the areas of the horizontally projecting transverse force bar portions (6a) so as to completely overlap the bent lateral force bar portions (6d) laterally.
