Method and apparatus for non-invasive blood constituent monitoring
Abstract
(57) Summary book invention is percutaneous and a system which determines the amount of biological ingredients which includes a hematocrit value noninvasively and continuously. A finger clip assembly object (6) includes at least one pair of emitters appropriately arranged so that it can operate in reflective either a transmitting mode or mode, and a photo-diode. The light of at least one prescribed wavelength is sent through systems of the body (7), such as a finger, an earlobe, and a scalp, and attenuation of the light in the wavelength is detected. Similarly, various technology including an optical method, a pressure method, the ピエゾ method, and the strain gauge method determines the change in a blood flow. By mathematical operation of the detected value, the influence of systems of the body and fluid is rectified, and a hematocrit value is determined. When the wavelength of an additional light which decreases light in the state where it changed mostly with オキシ hemoglobin and amounts of hemoglobin falls is used, a blood oxygen saturation value can be determined regardless of a hematocrit value. Furthermore, it for which the wavelength of an addition of light is used can also determine a bilirubin value or a grape sugar value, when the wavelength of an additional light which attenuates light considerably with bilirubin (440 nm) or grape sugar (1060 nm) is used. Moreover, the determination of the hematocrit value in 2 step DC analytical skills is also indicated here.
