The invention relates to an armchair with a height-adjustable seat, the height-adjusting device being supported or formed by a known technology such as a crank mechanism and / or spring mechanism or by a hydraulic or pneumatic device, the armchair being designed as a musician's chair and the seat having lateral cutouts and with the armchair is equipped with support elements for musical instruments.

Such a generic armchair is known from FR 2 611 462 A (MARILLIER), but the support elements for musical instruments are missing. This armchair has a height-adjustable seat, which has side cutouts for the positioning of a leg of the musician or for the musical instrument. In the base area of ​​the armchair there is a support ring on which the musician's foot can rest.

Another generic armchair can be found as a variant of the main subject in US Pat. No. 2,575,540 A (WENGER) as a foldable armchair with a height-adjustable seat and support elements for musical instruments.

The invention has the task of further developing such generic armchairs in order to create the possibility for music students to adjust their wind instruments, preferably brass instruments, depending on the size of the instruments and the size of the music students, in terms of height and position, for the time of playing the instruments to park safely. In addition, it should be stated that in the last time before this application there has been a tendency to train younger and therefore smaller music students for large brass instruments, such as a tuba, for example. The problem here is that even with height-adjustable armchairs, the wind instrument cannot be set up in terms of height, with the student at the same time assuming an optimal sitting position. While adult musicians hold the wind instrument between their thighs or To be able to squeeze in between the knees and hold them or put them down on the thighs or on the seat, young music students are not able to do so, so there is a need to place the wind instruments at a level between the floor and the seat.

The object of the invention and the problem described are erfgm. solved in a first step in that an armchair is designed as a music student armchair for teaching large wind instruments, preferably brass instruments or the like. is equipped. This inventive step makes it possible to adjust the armchair for the optimal sitting position of the music student and at the same time the storage plate (2) for the optimal height of the wind instrument in relation to the height of the music student.

In a further embodiment of the armchair it is provided that the seat (1) has an approximately trough-shaped recess (3) on the front, which allows an installation of the wind instrument or the like adapted to the body of the music student (in terms of position), the body of the Wind instrument or the like. Runs between the knee joints of the seated music student. The recess (3) thus enables the wind instrument to be brought closer to the body of the music student without the student having to slide far forward on the seat (1). The safety of the seating position of the music students is also given by the fact that the seat surface (1) is designed as a bucket seat, with a bead (5) raised relative to the inner part of the seat surface (1). This training secures the music student against slipping sideways or slipping and gives him a firm hold.

In order to offer the wind instrument a secure hold, erfgm. provided that the storage plate (2) is approximately plate-shaped and has a soft and non-slip covering (6) on the top. A further embodiment within the meaning of the object of the invention is given by the features of claim 6, when the backrest (7) of the armchair is curved when viewed from above, the outer ends (8) being adapted to the music student by being supported in the to offer lateral support and (at the same time) freedom of movement of the arms in the lower rib area.

This aforementioned training is further supported by the features described in claim 7, according to which the backrest (7) is fixed in a manner known per se so that it can be adjusted in height and its inclination can be changed. The backrest (7) is attached to a rod which is mounted in a clamping device on the back of the seat shell and thus forms a height adjustment device for the backrest (7) with the latter. The rod carrying the backrest (7) has a joint with which the inclination of the backrest (7) can be changed. The ends (8) of the backrest (7) face the inside of the chair.
