Abstract

Use of a ligand of the trk receptor selected from the group consisting of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), NT-3 and NT-4, or a nucleic acid molecule encoding said ligand trk receptor in the preparation of a medicament for inducing angiogenesis in a patient with a cardiac ischaemia, thereby treating cardiac ischemia.
