The invention relates to a device for the sealed laying of pipes, lines or similar long-form parts through device walls or similar components, consisting of a nipple with threaded connector and tool attachment, in particular in polygonal form, as well as a sealing insert and a pressure screw.
Such devices are widely known in the prior art (compare, for example, EP 627 588 A1, US 5 129 684 A, US 5 118 057 A and US 4 835 342 A). The elements of the known devices can consist of metallic material, but they are preferably made of plastic. The sealing insert can be a clamping cage made of plastic or a rubber-elastic molded plastic part or the like. To attach the io device as a passage through a housing wall or the like, the nipple is inserted with its threaded connector in advance into a corresponding hole in the wall until the tool attachment rests against one side of the housing wall. A lock nut can then be screwed onto the threaded connector penetrating the wall in order to fix the nipple on the wall. On a cable, pipe or the like to be carried out, the
Sealing insert and the pressure screw are threaded so that the cable can be passed through the nipple and the pressure screw is braced with the threaded connector so that the sealing insert is squeezed together radially in order to seal the element that is passed through and to secure it with regard to strain relief. For certain purposes, for example when heavy units such as construction machines or similar portable devices are connected to a cable routed through the device, there is a risk that the strain relief caused by the squeezing of the sealing insert by means of longitudinal tensile forces on the cable or the like is insufficient the pressure screw is set.
Starting from the prior art, the invention is based on the object of creating a device of the generic type with which an improved strain relief is made possible.
To solve this problem, it is proposed that a strain relief is arranged on the nipple on the side facing away from the threaded connector, which consists of a connector formed on the nipple coaxially directed to this connector and a tightening strap that narrows the diameter of the connector in the clamping position. This additional arrangement of a strain relief makes it possible to radially fix a cable or the like that has passed through as part of the device as part of the device, so that even when heavy units and in particular portable devices are connected to the corresponding cable, the cable or such is no longer possible due to the strain relief.
A preferred development is seen in the fact that the connecting piece consists of fingers which are formed on the nipple and project axially from the latter.
In order to temporarily secure the clamping means on the connecting piece, namely when the clamping device is not yet clamped, it is also preferably provided that the connecting piece has an essentially cylindrical inner circumferential surface and an outer circumferential surface that is narrower in the longitudinal center area and larger in diameter in its end areas.
Here, the socket forms a kind of barrel shape with retracted (i.e. not arched outward but arched inward) wall surfaces. The clamping means, for example in the form of a clamp or a squeezable endless clamp, can be attached to the socket and is initially held captive on this until the corresponding cable or the like elongated part is carried out and the clamping means is in its
End position tightened or tensioned, in which end position the strain relief position is reached.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and described in more detail below.
1 shows a device according to the invention in a central section in an assembly position;
Fig. 2 is the same in an exploded view.
The device for the sealed laying of pipes, lines or long-form parts 1 through walls 2 of devices or components consists essentially of a nipple 3 with a threaded connector 4 and a tool attachment 5, preferably in polygonal form, and a sealing insert 6 made of rubber-elastic material, a pressure screw 7 and a lock nut 8.
For assembly, the nipple 3 is inserted with its threaded connector 4 ahead into a perforation in the housing wall 2 until the tool attachment rests against the housing wall. The counter nut 8 is then screwed onto the threaded connector 4 until the position of the nipple on the housing part or the like is secured. The Lang2
AT 406 504 B molded part 1 through the sealing insert 6 and the pressure screw 7. After the target position has been reached, the pressure screw 7 is screwed onto the threaded connector 4 and thus the sealing insert 6 is squeezed together, so that a sealed and largely pressure-relieved connection is achieved.
In order to further improve the strain relief, a strain relief 9 is arranged on the side of the nipple 3 facing away from the threaded connector 4. The strain relief 9 consists of an integrally formed on the nipple 3 and coaxially directed to this connector 10 as well as a tightening strap 11 that can be stretched around the connector 10 and which narrows its diameter in the clamped position. The tightening strap 11 has molded Oetiker ears (pinch ears).
The connecting piece 10 has a substantially cylindrical inner lateral surface, while its
The outer circumferential surface in the longitudinal center area is slimmer than at its end areas, so that a sunken barrel shape is created which serves to hold the tensioning band 11 relatively captive on the connecting piece 9 before it is tightened.
The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment, but is variable in many ways within the scope of the disclosure.
All new individual and combination features disclosed in the description and / or drawing are regarded as essential to the invention.
