Liquid atomizing device with reduced settling of atomized liquid droplets

A device (20) of liquid spray to distribute liquid droplets, wherein the liquid droplets are supplied from a container (30) which houses a liquid, the container having (30) a porous wick (56) positioned to communicate liquid from the container (30), wherein the device comprises: a housing (22); and spray assembly (34) supported on the horizontal platform (25), wherein the spray assembly (34) includes an orifice plate (37) with apertures, the orifice plate (37) that is vibrated by a piezoelectric element (35) to cause liquid communicated from the container (30) to be atomized and distributed as liquid droplets through openings and through the opening into the air; characterized in that: the housing is formed as a hollow plastic shell and having a removable base (21), and a horizontal platform (25) and an opening (38) in an upper wall of the frame; and providing a fan (61) disposed within the housing substantially outside a main body defined by the container and the orifice plate (37); the fan is disposed below the main body to increase airflow around the orifice plate (37), and acting to increase at least the rate of evaporation or dispersal of the liquid droplets dispensed through openings the orifice plate.
