The invention relates to an inflatable motor vehicle - hail protection mat, especially for passenger cars, with a mat base and a mattress top, with inlet and outlet valves and with mounting options.

The technical problem to be solved with the invention is to protect motor vehicles from environmental influences, such as acid rain, from contamination such as bird droppings and tree resins, from damage caused by falling fruit, chestnuts or branches, but especially from hail.

This object is achieved with the characterizing features of claim 1.

After filling the hail protection mat over the valves arise between the joints forces absorbing, in the transverse direction stable channels, as well as circumferentially, forces absorbing spaces.

Another advantage is to provide adhesive predominantly on the mat base and retaining tracks.

The hail protection mat 24 (Fig. 1) as such consists of a mat base 11 and a mat shell 22, preferably made of polyethylene (PE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC), or other materials suitable for the formation of one or more gas cushion (Figure 4) and to process accordingly.
