Safety system for the ignition chain of a projectile fuze

Projectile small for small firearms weapons, said projectile comprising a warhead (116) with an explosive charge, an initiator (102) and a firing pin, wherein the initiator (102) a safety position and an armed position and being able to detonating the explosive charge of the warhead (116) when the initiator (102) is in the armed position and is hit with sufficient force by the firing pin; wherein said projectile further comprises shielding means (106) disposed between the initiator (102) and the explosive charge of the warhead (116), being able to move said shielding means (106) between a safety position, in which the shielding means (106) protect the explosive charge of the warhead against the initiator (102), to an armed position, in which the initiator (102) to detonate the explosive charge of the warhead (116), wherein the means shielding (106) are separated from the initiator (102), being suitable to slide from the safety position to the armed position in response to displacement of the initiator (102) from the state insurance to the armed state.
