Foot prosthesis having cushioned ankle

Abstract

(57) The simple and cheap artificial leg (10) equipped with the uncle with cushioning properties including the uncle block (16) formed from the bladder (19) which has summary elastic material, or desired compliance and energy return characteristic is offered. The uncle block (16) or the bladder (19) is sandwiched by the footplate element (12) and the uncle plate element (14). The spring element (18) selected more than 1 or it is embedded in an uncle block (16) or a bladder (19) in order to raise the grade of the increase of rigidity and the energy storage return characteristic of an artificial leg (10). As for the form of a spring insertion (18), what supports compression and perpendicular compression like perpendicular impact load from a tiptoe at the time of relative angle rotation of a footplate element (12) like the heel and an uncle plate element (14) is desirable.
