The invention relates to a device for fastening components, for example, electrolytic capacitors, preferably with a circular cross-section, in mounting recesses of mounting plates.
Both in power engineering and in communications engineering there is often the demand that components in mounting recesses of housing covers, perforated panels, distribution doors o. like. to assemble. For example, often electrolytic capacitors are housed in this way and zusammenggeschalteL battery units To ensure trouble-free operation, while the attachment must be so stable that the electrolytic capacitors can not change their position during operation. This requirement is for capacitors that are mounted on moving or vibrating machines to meet only with costly constructions.
For example, such components were previously mounted with mounting clamps. This type of attachment is extremely disadvantageous since hiebei often insulation defects occur due to mechanical damage to the heat shrink tubing of the electrolytic capacitors. In addition, at least three separate fasteners for each component are required in this type of attachment.
In the publication EP-A2 / 3-138 293 a mounting member is described, which u in mounting electrical components on mounting plates u. like. is usable. This mounting member is annular and deposited at one end so that the component to be fastened rests therein and is enclosed by a slightly higher outer ring. In addition, the mounting member may be formed on the side facing the mounting plate with a groove for inserting an O-ring, and the component from the opposite side of the mounting member by means of screws are pressed against the mounting plate so that a seal between the O-ring and mounting plate achieved becomes.
With these mounting elements thus components are mounted on mounting plates. For mounting components in mounting recesses, however, the mounting elements described in EP-A2 / 3-138 293 are unsuitable
FR-PS 1 282 534 is concerned with a cup-shaped insulating base in which electrical components can be used and mounted on a printed circuit board. By at least two slots provided in the bottom of the insulating base, it is possible to pass the connecting wires of a component through the insulating base.
With the proposed in FR-PS 1 282 534 insulating bases electrical components can not be mounted in mounting recesses, but only mounted on switchboards.
US-PS-3 229 939 relates to a mounting ring for electrical components, preferably for transistors. The mounting ring has a longitudinal slot and is formed so that components can be used in mounting recesses.
The serious disadvantage of the fastening rings described in US Pat. No. 3,229,939 is that it does not prevent the penetration of moisture and spray water. Therefore, it is not possible to perform the assembly of components according to protection class IP 54.
The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a device for fastening of components, which is easy to manufacture and in use and avoids the disadvantages of the known devices.
The object is achieved by the invention. in that a tubular retaining ring, preferably made of rubber or thermoplastic, is provided, whose length is at least half its diameter, that the retaining ring has an annular groove parallel to the end faces on its outer circumference, wherein the inner circumference of the annular groove is slightly smaller than the clear opening of the mounting recess, and the width of the annular groove is slightly larger than the material thickness of the mounting plate, that the distance of the annular groove from the end faces is preferably central, and that the clear width of the retaining ring is slightly smaller than the outer circumference of the component to be fastened, and that the outer circumference of the retaining ring is slightly larger than the clear width of the mounting recess.
The invention makes it possible to fasten components quickly and easily in mounting recesses while safely avoiding mechanical damage to the components. This is for example a prerequisite for the use of components in power engineering. In addition, the material of the retaining ring for potential control graphite or the like. Be added.
Another advantage is that the retaining ring compensates by its elasticity the usual deviations of both the mounting recess and the component to be fastened. The stability of the attachment is not diminished.
It is also advantageous that in addition to the retaining ring according to the invention no further fastening elements for the assembly of a component are required.
Furthermore, it is advantageous that a stable and stable attachment of components is ensured even on moving and / or vibrating machines or machine parts by the elasticity of the retaining ring.
This elasticity also makes it possible to fix components in any desired position non-slip.
An additional advantage is given by the fact that the retaining ring the penetration of moisture, including spray, safely prevented in the mounting recesses When using inventive retaining rings and corresponding components, it is thus possible to perform mounting versions of the IP 54 protection.

It is also ensured with the invention that the retaining ring without the use of tools in the mounting recess is inserted. The one end face of the retaining ring may have an edge bevel on the outer circumference. This results in a shortening of the assembly time.
In one embodiment of the invention, both end faces on the inner circumference on a Kantenabschrägung. This Kantenabschrägungen make it possible to insert the component to be fastened without tools in the retaining ring . This further reduces the assembly time.
In an additional development, the inner wall of the retaining ring on radial ribs. This embodiment has the advantage that the component to be mounted very easily inserted into the retaining ring and the retaining ring is still executable as protection IP 41
With reference to two embodiments shown in drawings, the invention will now be explained in more detail. Fig. 1 shows the retaining ring and Fig. 2 a mounted capacitor.
Fig. 1 illustrates a retaining ring in quarter section. Here, the left half is cut, the right half shown in view. Fig. 2 shows, also in quarter section, an electrolytic capacitor (11) which is fixed by means of a retaining ring (10) in the mounting recess (14) of a mounting plate (12).
As shown in FIG. 1 can be seen, the retaining ring is tubular and has along its outer periphery, centrally between and parallel to the end faces (5), (6), an annular groove (1). The depth of the annular groove (1) should be approximately between one third and half of the wall thickness (2) of the retaining ring. Thus, on the one hand the tear-resistant fit of the retaining ring is ensured in a mounting recess, on the other hand, the remaining wall thickness is sufficient to ensure the positional fixation of the component to be fastened by pressing against the inner wall (7) of the retaining ring. However, the correct depth of the annular groove (1) is also very important because the use of the retaining ring should be ensured in Montageausnehmungen of mounting plates made of light metal. Alloy has about twice the expansion coefficient as iron. As a result, if the annular ring (1) is too low and thus too little material of the retaining ring, if corresponding temperature increases occur, the expansion of the light metal and thus the constriction of the mounting recess could be so considerable that the component is mechanically damaged by pinching.
The edge bevel (3) on the outer circumference of the end face (5) ensures easy insertion of the retaining ring in the mounting recess. It suffices for this purpose to bring the retaining ring with the end face (5) on the mounting recess and light pressure on the end face (6) until the retaining ring is engaged with the annular groove (1) in the mounting recess.
On the inner circumference of the end face (6), the retaining ring has a Kantenabschrägung (4). This makes it possible to introduce the component to be fastened without tools in the retaining ring.
In Fig. 2 It can be seen how the retaining ring (10) with the annular circumferential groove (13) in a mounting recess (14) of a mounting plate (12) is snap-locked locked An electrolytic capacitor (11) is fixed by pressing against the inner wall of the retaining ring (10). Corresponds to the length of the retaining ring (10) at least half its diameter, then there is sufficient contact pressure to secure the component to be mounted, in this case the electrolytic capacitor (11), in any desired insertion depth. In Fig. 2 Thus, the electrolytic capacitor (11) used here could readily be fixed so that the side with the terminals (15) from the retaining ring (10) protrudes further upwards.
