Radio-frequency coil with two parallel end conductors

Abstract

The present invention relates to the radio frequency coil (RF coil) (19) used with a magnetic resonance imaging system. The above-mentioned RF coil has two or more parallel Bar form electric conductors (37), and on a virtual pillar (39), the above-mentioned Bar form electric conductor is arranged at a regular interval, and is surrounded with a radio frequency shield (RF shield) (49). The above-mentioned Bar form conductor surrounding the measurement body product (11) of the above-mentioned equipment, and receiving the above-mentioned Bar form conductor -- a right-angled field -- 延在する -- in at least one of the end positions (41, 45), interconnection is carried out with an electric end conductor (43, 47). According to the present invention, other electric end conductors (51, 53) are arranged closely and in parallel at the above-mentioned end conductor (43, 47), and an end conductor besides the above is electrically preferably connected to the above-mentioned RF shield (49) by the flange type electric conductor (55, 57). The above-mentioned end conductor (43, 47), and an end conductor (51, 53) besides the above form a power line together. The undesirable electromagnetic field (b1) generated as a result by the current in the above-mentioned end conductor (43, 47) are compensated by the electromagnetic field (b2) generated by the current in an end conductor (51, 53) besides the above. Therefore, the electromagnetic field of the above-mentioned end conductor (43, 47) do not cause the increase in temperature in the body of the patient who exists in the undesirable loss effect and the above-mentioned measurement body product (11).
