Scan based configuration control in a gaming environment

A machine (2) game comprising: a validator (30) of tickets used as an interface (222) that can (i) receive a device (50, 20) configuration gaming machine in the form of a ticket printed paper, (ii) read instructions (55) configuration marked on the device configuration, the configuration indicia for configuring the gaming machine or a game of chance on the gaming machine, the configuration indicia printed on the ticket paper in the form of one or more boxes (55) of selection, each corresponding to a different one set or more game parameters, at least one of the boxes marked selection to indicate a selection of one or more settings, and (iii) issue a corresponding checkboxes marked the configuration indicia on the paper ticket signal; a memory (316) storing settings providing states for one or more parameters of the game machine (2) gaming or gambling machine game, controlling the game parameters operation of the gaming machine or the operation of gambling game machine; and a processor (310) designed or configured to receive the signal from the interface (222), and in response to the signal, configure or reconfigure one or more of the game parameters in the memory (316) according to one or more of the adjustments indicated by the checkboxes marked the configuration indicia on the paper ticket.
