High efficiency refrigerant based energy storage and cooling system

Abstract

Energy storage system and high performance cooling comprising: an air conditioning unit (102) comprising a compressor (110) and a capacitor (111); a unit energy storage (106) comprising an insulated tank (140) containing an exchanger heat storage and at least partially filled with a liquid phase change, said exchanger heat storage additionally collector comprising lower recovery (156) and an upper collection header (154) connected by at least one thermally conductive member; a heat exchanger production capacity (122); a management unit cooling (104) connected to said air conditioning unit (102) to said energy storage unit (106) and said heat exchanger production capacity (122); characterized in that said system energy storage and dealto cooling performance further comprising: a container universal refrigerant management (146) within said management unit cooling (104) comprising: an outlet connection that returns refrigerant to said unit air conditioning (102); upper inlet connection that receives refrigerant from said heat exchanger capacity (122) a mixed phase regulator (132), a combination oil still and surge vessel refrigerant (116) and said manifold recovery ( 154) of said storage heat exchanger (122); a first bottom port that provides a manifold lower recovery of said heat exchanger storage, bidirectional flow of refrigerant to said bottom outlet that supplies liquid refrigerant for connection to said heat exchanger capacity (122) and said combination of oil still and refrigerant surge vessel (116); a second lower port is connected to said combination oil still and refrigerant surge vessel (116); and a slide valve actuated by pressure (118) connected to said second bottom port and said air conditioning unit (102) for supplying coolant to said heat exchanger capacity (122).
