Shoulder or hip prostheses and method of mounting it

Prostheses (P) shoulder or hip, comprising a humeral or femoral component (1; 101; 201) having a concave articulating surface (S1) and an intermediate component (3; 103; 203) having first and second convex surfaces of articulation (S''1, S''2) intended to cooperate respectively with said concave articulating surface (S1) of said humeral or femoral component (1; 101; 201) and a glenoid articulating surface ( S2) or cotyloid naturally concave or belonging to a glenoid component or acetabular, wherein the concave articulating surface (S1) of said humeral or femoral component (1; 101; 201) is formed by a shoe (14; 114; 214) bonded neck (13; 113; 213) to a part (11; 111) of the appropriate component to be anchored in the medullary canal (M) humeral or femoral, that said intermediate component (3; 103; 203) is provided with a body (33; 133; 233) for retaining said humeral or femoral component supported against the first convex surface of said intermediate component, that said retaining member (33; 133; 233) defines a non-circular passage (34; 134; 234) which can move said collar (13; 113; 213) depending on the movements of said humeral or femoral component relative to the other components (2, 3; 103; 203) of the prosthesis, and that said retaining member (33; 133; 233) defines with said first convex articulating surface (S''1) of said intermediate component (3; 103; 203) a volume (E ) for receiving a portion (14a; 114a; 214a) of said shoe protrudes radially with respect to said neck.
