System and method for reading license plates

Abstract

Procedure on vehicles eplaced in order to read a license plate, in which process: to determine whether a registration plate is required; if the image of the license plate is required, the image of the license plate is automatically produced; create at least an authentic image; determine whether there is a need to read the license plate by reading the image of the license plate more closely with a credible image: A procedure for reading a license plate placed on a vehicle passing a toll collection system, the procedure comprising: creating a first group of vehicle examinations, determining a second group of vehicle examinations, path; determine whether the second group of vehicle examinations includes at least one license plate; and automatically create at least one license plate image. To read the system license plate, which system includes: toll roadblocks (14) on the periphery of the road, generating vehicle number plates and vehicle transactions; at least one transaction processor (24) coupled to a road user charger (14) at the edge of the road receiving the images and atrances; at least one video processor (22) connected to the transaction processor (24) that receives the image and generates the corresponding license plate number; a video exception processor (26) connected to the at least one transaction processor (24) capable of receiving and displaying the images so that the vehicle number plate can be manually read; and a toll-connected processor (28) coupled to the at least one transaction processor (24), which minimizes the number of manual reads. HE road users (14) located on the periphery of the road, which generate a vehicle number plate and cargo transactions; at least one transaction processor (24) coupled to a road user charger (14) at the edge of the road receiving the images and atrances; at least one video processor (22) connected to the transaction processor (24) that receives the image and generates the corresponding license plate number; a video exception processor (26) connected to the at least one transaction processor (24) capable of receiving and displaying the images so that the vehicle number plate can be manually read; and a toll-connected processor (28) coupled to the at least one transaction processor (24), which minimizes the number of manual reads. HE which generate vehicle number plates and vehicle transactions; at least one transaction processor (24) coupled to a road user charger (14) at the edge of the road receiving the images and atrances; at least one video processor (22) connected to the transaction processor (24) that receives the image and generates the corresponding license plate number; a video exception processor (26) connected to the at least one transaction processor (24) capable of receiving and displaying the images so that the vehicle number plate can be manually read; and a toll-connected processor (28) coupled to the at least one transaction processor (24), which minimizes the number of manual reads.
