Abstract
The present invention relates to copper Raney, a process for the preparation thereof and the dehydrogenation of process alcohols by the use of Raney as a copper catalyst. It is also an object of the present invention to provide a method for the copper production of Raney, characterized in that it is activated by a copper / aluminum alloy aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, washed with a catalyst, suspended in water, added a solution of a vas salt or anhydrous salt to this suspension, -11, then the catalyst is separated from the solution and washed.
