Generating pixel values using strictly deterministic methodologies for generating sample points

Abstract

A system of computer graphics to generate a pixel value for a pixel of an image being representative of a point pixel in a scene as recorded on an image plane of a simulated camera, the system computer graphics comprising: A. a sample points generator configured to generate a set of sample points representing at least one simulated element of the simulated camera, the simulated camera being provided with a simulated shutter, the sample points representing elements of a Hammersley sequence being the generator of sample points configured to generate points xi of sample position representing positions of sample points unstabilized on a subpixel grid for at least one pixel on the image plane, wherein the generator of sample points set also to generate, for at least one position of the sample point on a subpixel for at least one pixel in the image plane, tij sample points in time representing the points "j" in the time interval t0 to t0 + T during which will be open the shutter for use by the function evaluator to evaluate the selected function, being further configured function evaluator to generate points tij sample according to which "oplus" called the summation module corresponding a predetermined value NT, a predetermined number of times in which they have to generate time points tij and Fib (q) is the radical inverse function of "q" in base "b"; and B. A function evaluator configured to generate at least one value representing an evaluation of said selected function at one of the sample points generated by said sample point generator, corresponding the value generated by the function evaluator to value pixel.
