Abstract

A clutch (134) for an orthotic device comprising: an output hub (196) in an output frame (138); an input shaft (182) in an input frame (136), wherein the input shaft rotates within a bore (190) in the output hub; one input hub (200) at one end of the input shaft; a spring (210) applied to the input hub (200) and the output hub (196), and a circumferential spring clamp (164) securing the spring (210) to the input hub; characterized in that the input frame (136) and the output frame (138) are adjacent each other on one side of the clutch opposite the input hub.
