Apparatus for securing a prosthesis to the residue of a (502) end of an amputee, the apparatus comprising: the socket (504) shaped to receive a residue of a (502) end of an amputee and configured to connect to a prosthetic limb, wherein the socket (504) forms a chamber (505) between the socket (504) and the residue (502) when the socket (504) accommodates the residue (502), said chamber being adapted to be connected to a source of negative pressure or positive pressure source, characterized by a device (520) pressure control operatively connected to the chamber (505) and can create a positive pressure and a negative pressure within the chamber (505) and configured to adjust the pressure within the chamber (505) when the apparatus is in use so that pressure treatment to the residue (502) is provided.
