Apparatus for monitoring and controlling peritoneal dialysis therapy

System for providing peritoneal dialysis to a patient, the system comprising: a dialysate container (11) for connection to the patient (12); a first pressure sensor (32) to be connected in-line between the dialysate container and the patient; a tank drain (13) for connection to the patient (12); one second pressure sensor (37) to be connected in-line between the drain container and the patient, characterized in that said first pressure sensor (32) is adapted to measure an intraperitoneal pressure of the patient while dialysate flows from the patient to the drain (13) and that said second pressure sensor (37) is adapted to measure an intraperitoneal pressure of the patient while dialysate flows from the dialysate container (11) to the patient.
