Valved male luer

A male luer apparatus for medical liquid flow, comprising: a tube portion (16) having a front end as a male luer and a rear luer; an elastic member (14) extending within the tubular portion having opposite front and rear ends; and a valve member (18) disposed within the tubular portion and having a tip (22), supporting the valve member at the forward end of the elastic member, so that the elastic member (14) biases the tip of the valve member in sealing contact with the front end of the tubular portion (16); so that, when the male luer apparatus (10) is inserted into a female luer connector (14), the male luer connector drives the resilient member (14) in a compressed to open the front end of the male luer and permit flow position from a luer to another; so that the liquid exiting from the male luer apparatus (10) moves in a generally linear path through the tubular portion (16) of the male luer and enters the female luer (24).
