The present invention relates to a telemetry equipment for the bi- or tri-dimensional cartography of a volume, said equipment comprising a telemetry head and a means of acquiring the position of said measurement head in a fixed reference system, characterized in that the equipment is constituted by an autonomous portable housing having a telemetry head and a fixed housing, the two housings comprising means for remotely acquiring the position and orientation of the portable unit in said fixed reference system.
