View-through cellular window covering

Window covering comprising a plurality of elongated cells (12) arranged parallel to each other, each cell (12) being provided with a top (22, 24) and a bottom (26, 28) at a junction (30) disposed between adjacent sides of each cell (12), adjacent sides being pivotable around said joint so that each cell (12) can be compressed to a first position, wherein adjacent cells (12) are separated from each other for permit viewing and maximum passage of light between them and can be opened to a second position, wherein adjacent cells (12) are substantially contiguous to substantially block viewing therebetween, a first control form of the cell (16, 34) coupled to said top of each of said cells (12) and a second control cell shape (14, 32) coupled with said lower portion of each of said cells (12 ) and drive means (18) connected to at least one of said control elements the first (16, 34) and second (14, 32) to selectively create a relative in the vertical direction movement between said first (16, 34 ) and second (14, 32), so that a relative movement of such changes the shape of the cells (12) to thereby modify the size of the space between adjacent cells (12), wherein the weight of said cells (12) and the stiffness of said cell sides (12) is selected such that when each cell (12) is freely suspended solely from its respective upper portion (22, 24), hung in its second fully open and since most of the weight of each cell (12) is supported by its respective bottom (26, 28), it will move towards its first compressed position.
