High temperature dry heat sterilizable syringe barrel and needle cannula assembly

Abstract

A body assembly and needle sterilizable hypodermic syringe dry heat, comprising an elongated body (10) with a proximal end (12) and a distal end (14), with at least one chamber (16) formed between the ends (12, 14), finishing said distal end (14) at one end (18), wherein said tip (18) includes a rear end (20) in communication with the interior of said body (10) and a end (22) tip in communication with the outside, and a passage (24) between said rear end (20) and said end (22) tip to ensure a needle (26) therein, a needle (26) fixed said passage (24) by a bonding material that fills at least part of the interference length along said passageway (24), which material (28) binding is stable above approximately 250 ° C; and a lubricant applied to the inside of said body and on the outside of said needle before sterilization, and hot curing in said interior of said body (10) and said outer portion of said needle (26) during sterilization dry heat, the assembly can be sterilized using dry heat at a temperature of at least 250 ° C and, after sterilization, said material (28) binding no substantial coloration and said assembly has a peel strength of needle at least 30 newtons.
