Bed, notably hospital, which is equipped at least along one of its longitudinal sides, of various elements of vertical individual barrier neighbors and (5, 5¿) extending each in a fraction of the length of the bed characterized by the fact that at least two of said barrier elements (5, 5¿), and are articulated in relation to each other, about an axis (X, x¿) generally perpendicular with the longitudinal axis of the bed, so that in folded position, adjoin one relative to the other and occupy, transversely, substantially the space of a single element, whereas in the deployed position, extending in parallel and substantially in the extension of each other.
