Dispenser for receiving a cartridge of material having retractable pins

A dispenser (41) having a receptacle (42) for receiving a cartridge (40) of material to be dispensed, the dispenser comprising a plurality of pins (44) arranged, in use, to engage in a corresponding plurality of openings (36) the cartridge (40) to allow dispensing of the material, characterized in that the dispenser further comprises a mechanism for moving the pins (44), upon insertion of the cartridge (40) into the receptacle (42), from a retracted position, in which shall not apply in the openings (36) to a deployed position in which they are applied in the openings (36).
