Adaptive pre-distortion of an amplitude- and frequency- or phase-modulated radio frequency signal generator

The invention provides a generator of a radiofrequency signal (G) phase-modulated or frequency and amplitude suitable for radio transmission, comprising generating means (GEN) of a phase control signal or frequency (D ) and an amplitude control signal (F), from a phase or frequency modulation signal (B) and an amplitude modulation signal (C), modulation means phase or frequency (MOD), and a radio frequency power amplifier (PA) with variable gain, wherein the generating means (GEN) comprise means for slaving the amplitude of the output signal (G) and, in addition, adaptive predistortion means (40) which are arranged to, during a phase of continuous operation, perform a pre-distortion of the phase control or frequency signal (D) as a function of the modulation signal amplitude (C), and for, during a learning phase, to be adapted from the amplitude modulation signal (C) and of the amplitude control signal (F).
