Liquid laundry detergent with emulsion layer

An aqueous liquid detergent composition laundry comprising: (a) between 5% and 80%, by weight of the composition, of a detergent surfactant comprising an anionic surfactant; (B) from 0.1% to 10%, by weight of the composition, of an emulsifier having a value of less than 8.5 HLB; (C) between 5% and 50%, by weight of the composition, of an oil; (D) an electrolyte in an amount to provide ionic strength indicator of from 0.55 to 6.7, wherein the composition upon standing for up to 24 hours at a temperature of 20-25 ° C comprises at least two visible layers; namely an emulsion layer and an isotropic layer, wherein the oil is present in the form of an emulsion layer with a continuous aqueous phase.
