Fuel cell stack with gaseous fuel, comprising a membrane electrode assembly (8) and a distributor plate (1) having a channel region (2) with gas channels (3) for distributing the anode or cathode gas to the membrane electrode assembly (8) and a port portion (4) for feeding the anode and cathode gas into the channel region (2), characterized in that along the gas channels (3) open additional connecting channels (6) of the port regions (4), so that by means of these connecting channels ( 6) unused anode or cathode gas from the port areas (4) is locally metered into the gas channels (3).
